Jing Wei named as president of Shougang Group

Jin Wei has been appointed as president of Beijing-based state-owned Chinese steelmaker Shougang Group by the municipal government of Beijing, as announced by China's Xinhua News Agency on December 11. Wang Qinghai was the previous incumbent.   Mr. Jin, who is forty-one years old, has served in various senior positions at Shougang Group, at the group's listed subsidiary Shougang Co., and at Shougang subsidiary Qian'an Iron and Steel Co. Since May 2012, he has also been director of the Beijing Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology.
